NURSES ARE THE HEARTBEAT OF HOUSTON!

Mike Calvert Toyota is committed to giving back to those who’ve given so much, which is why they have established the Nobel Nurse Award to recognize an outstanding nurse whose volunteer services have made a significant impact on the local community.

In providing community service, the honoree has promoted the purpose of Texas Nurses Association (TNA) by working for the improvement of health standards and the availability of health care services for all people and/or for the betterment of the Community as a whole by providing service for the homeless, children programs, schools, shelters, USO, etc.

Persons being nominated for this award will be registered nurses licensed in Texas who have consistently demonstrated qualities of compassion, and service to either one organization or a variety of volunteer activities over at least five years. The charitable activities/events or services listed on the application cannot be part of the nominee’s job description or duties and the individual cannot receive any monetary or personal benefits from their involvement. Services for which the nominee is compensated will not be considered.

List any volunteer services within Houston and the surrounding areas.
List examples of how the nominee exemplifies TNA’s purposes at the local level working for the improvement of health standards and the availability of health care services for all people and/or for the betterment of the community as a whole by providing service for the homeless, children programs, schools, shelters, USO, etc..
Provide examples of how the services provided promoted and protected the economic and general welfare of nurses and community members.
List continuous volunteer work from at least five years or more.
List repeated instances of volunteer work with each agency or community group.
List any financial contributions that are accompanied by in-person community work.
List any awards for community service

One grand prize of $10,000 will be given out at Nursing Celebration on Friday, Nov 8, 2024.
