Texas Nurses Association District 9 to Honor Greater Houston’s Outstanding Nurses at 34th Annual Nursing Celebration Gala on Nov. 13
Gala raises scholarship and research funds for the region’s nursing workforce
HOUSTON, Texas — The Texas Nurses Association, District 9 will host its 34th Annual Nursing Celebration on Friday, November 13, 2026, at Bayou City Event Center, recognizing outstanding nurses across the Greater Houston region and raising funds to support the next generation of the profession.
The evening begins with a reception and silent auction at 5:00 p.m., followed by dinner and the awards ceremony at 6:00 p.m. Guests will include honorees and their families, scholarship and grant recipients, health system leaders, and sponsors and supporters from across the district.
Proceeds benefit the Texas Nurses District 9 Foundation, the public charity formed by TNA District 9, which provides scholarships to nursing students and awards grants to registered nurses conducting research in the district.

District 9 is the largest of the Texas Nurses Association’s districts, with approximately 4,800 members across Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker and Waller counties. Honorees are nominated by peers, employers, patients and community members, and are selected for clinical excellence, leadership, mentorship and service to their communities.
