Since 1916, District 9 of the Texas Nurses Association has been committed to transforming the health of our communities by advancing and advocating for the nursing profession and uplifting and empowering nurses in Southeast Texas. District 9 is the largest district in the state, serving nurses who live and work in the Greater Houston area and the prestigious Texas Medical Center as the local chapter of the Texas Nurses Association and American Nurses Association. Our members span in experience from new graduates to managers and directors to chief nursing officers and include nurses working at the bedside and in education, research and administration.
