Cost per person: $100 for licensed RN/LVNs ($125 after June 2 and at the door), $50 for undergraduate students ($60 after June 2 and at the door, must show student ID)

Texas Nurses Association District 9 Conference entitled, Impact of Opioid Use Disorder Epidemic: Implications for Current Nursing Practice will address the complex problem of prescription opioid and heroin abuse. This conference will discuss scope and impact of prescription opioids and opioid use disorder, its treatment including the stigma and providing hope for recovery from opioid use disorder, healthcare partnerships in advancing to understand opioid treatment; TPAPN’s role in promoting and supporting the recovery of nurses from substance abuse disorders and the ethical approach to opioid abuse disorder.
